Donations to the Library

 Due to a lack of storage, the Library can no longer accept general book or magazine donations, except before a major Library book sale (see below). The Library can still accept donations of CDs, DVDs, and Books on CD.

Please speak to the Library Director or Archivist if you feel that you have a donation that would particularly enrich the Library Collection.

Two months prior to a Library book sale, the Library will announce that general book donations will now be accepted. Book sales are usually during the Danvers Family Festival which is held in early summer.

donations of books:
  • Got Books Inc.

    Free Pick-Up Service
    Accepts all books, videos, DVDs, CDs, audio books, records/LPs, sheet music, sports memorabilia, sports cards, comic books, computer software, video games, etc.

  • Salvation Army
    Rt. 1 South
    Saugus, MA
    No instructional manuals, textbooks, encyclopedias, or magazines.

  • Danvers Senior Center
    Stone St.
    Danvers, MA
    Paperbacks only.

  • Annie’s
    132 Dodge St.
    Beverly, MA
    No more than 25 books at a time,
    Store credit given.

  • Hand It Back Booksmyth
    240 B South Main St.
    Rt. 114, Dairy Queen Plaza
    Middleton, MA
    Store credit given.
