If you’re looking for a pleasant distraction, try Krentz’s White Lies. The publisher has apparently decided to name the books that involve parasensitives as Arcane Society Novels, so while the series name may be newish, the themes are not.

White Lies was a very enjoyable romantic suspense novel with paranormal tendencies. Here’s a synopsis from B&N.com:
