Heavy Metal Detox Smoothie contributed by Charlotte

I too love to cook and bake. For something different though here’s a recipe for a refreshing smoothie that I’m hooked on.  The measurements shown are a guide. The best thing to do is experiment with the ingredients and adjust the taste as desired.  *For optimal health benefits use organic ingredients.

Ingredients:
2 cups wild blueberries
1 banana
1 cup of fresh cilantro
1 cup yoghurt  (I add a splash of maple syrup!)
8 fl.oz chilled coconut water (you can also use fresh squeezed o.j. or apple juice)
1tsp. of organic powdered Spirulina
1tsp. organic powdered Wheat or Barley grass

* the nutritional powders can be found at Whole Foods, The Vitamin store on rt. 114 or A New Leaf health food store in Beverly

Throw everything into a smoothie maker, Ninja or regular blender. Mix until ingredients are well blended. You may need to add more coconut water if the smoothie is too thick. BTW Kids love this too!
