Ari Reviews: Leech – Hiron Ennes

Leech is a gothic science fiction horror story that is about a young doctor from the Interprovincial Medical Institute that takes on a mysterious medical case at an isolated chateau after the baron’s former physician passes away suddenly. The young doctor will take on a challenging assignment at the baron’s chateau due to a mysterious parasite that is lingering within the walls in the chateau trying to take over all who live there. The doctor will also uncover dark secrets as well that are hidden within the walls of the baron’s home that will cause a lot of twists and turns as well as a race for time to stop the powerful parasite that is determined to gain control over those who live there. Will the doctor be able to stop the spread of this powerful parasite that is trying to gain control over humanity or will the doctor and all those in the chateau have the same fate as the baron’s doctor encountered ? I enjoyed reading this because it had a lot of gothic horror as well as science fiction components throughout the whole book. I found the beginning of the book sometimes a bit confusing trying to figure out what was going on with the plot and the various interactions with the main characters so I would have to go back at times to reread those particular sections to understand what was going on in the book. As the book progressed more the plot became more easy to follow and it had so many eerie twists and turns that it had me on the edge of my seat wanting to read more. If you love horror, science fiction, and fantasy books this would be a great read or if you are looking for something new to read, I suggest you pick up a copy of this book to check out!
