Parents or guardians may show their ID when registering children. There is no minimum age limit for children’s cards, but parents should know that the information on their child’s card is confidential. If a parent would like to keep track of the items their children have out, they should check them out on their own card.
Please speak to the Library Director or Archivist if you feel that you have a donation that would particularly enrich the Library Collection.
Two months prior to a Library book sale, the Library will announce that general book donations will now be accepted. Book sales are usually during the Danvers Family Festival which is held in early summer.

The Morning Book Discussion Group meets the second Tuesday of the month (except July and August) from 10:00 a.m. to noon in the Gordon Room. The group is self-directed and members choose all book titles. The library obtains copies of the current selection and makes them available to Book Group members.Newcomers are always welcome. The evening book group meets the second Monday of the month (except July and August) at 7:30 p.m. in the Director’s Office. Titles are chosen by group consensus and the library obtains copies for Book Group members. Newcomers are always welcome.
The history book group meets the fourth Wednesday of the month (except July and August) at 7:00 p.m. in the Director’s Office. Titles are chosen by group consensus and the library obtains copies for Book Group members. Newcomers are always welcome.
