Ari Reviews: The Social Graces – Renée Rosen

I enjoyed reading this book. I could not put this book down and as a historical fiction book lover this one I highly recommend for those who love historical fiction. The Social Graces takes you into 1870’s New York City during the Gilded Age that focuses on the Vanderbilts and Astors in the book. It was interesting to learn how high society lived during the Gilded Age and takes you behind the scenes of the lives of Caroline Astor and Alva Vanderbilt in the book’s plot. It was an excellent read that makes you feel you are part of the story with the way the author described the events that occurred in the characters involving the big parties, scandals, gossip, big mansions, and high society’s expectations of the time. Renee Rosen did an amazing job with this book and it is a page-turner that you do not want to put down and makes you want to find out more about what will happen next with Alva and Caroline’s lives as they navigate through high society and their personal lives.
